We Are Global Nurses
Make our voice bigger, stronger and harder to silence - Emma Collins
Amidst a global pandemic, nursing has been at the forefront of the media. Painting a graphic play by play of images of what nursing really means, for patients and families.
I fully believe we should be seen as a profession not just a calling or vocation as is often banded about.
I feel the term vocation can make it so easy for us to be silenced.
We as nurses have, all over the globe, been shown to go above and beyond.
We have specialist training for each area we work in, from emergency care with advanced life saving skills to end of life care and making the journey less lonely.
Rejoining the international council of nurses can give the UK a more influential global voice. To share our health policy ideas and make our voice bigger, stronger and harder to silence.
